Bamboo + Earth Construction
Casa de Tierra paired up with CO2 Bambu to lead students of the National Technological Institute (Instituto Nacional Tecnologico - INATEC) to create two model structures of bamboo + earth on the campus of the Universidad de Santo Tomas in Granada, Nicaragua. The ecologically innovative buildings combine locally harvested bamboo as the structural framework and earthen mixes as the wall-fill and plasters.
